Talia "Tally" Martin and her seventh grade class are going on a trip to Washington, DC, and she and her best friends Caleb and Sonnet are being forced to room with their worst enemies. However, over the three-day trip, the definition of friend and enemy changes as Tally makes a wary peace with Ava, her roommate and "clonegirl." Tally begins to suspect that Ava is struggling with anorexia, but when Tally confronts Ava, Ava threatens to reveal an embarrassing picture of her to the class.
