In a town in the Pacific Northwest, two neighboring teen boys, Daniel and Jonah, die leaving their parents to grieve. Jonah admits to Daniel's murder and then kills himself. Then a pregnant sixteen-year-old girl named Evangeline comes of the woods and into the lives of the grieving families. As Daniel's father and Jonah's mother work to learn the connection between the girl and their boys, they also learn what comes after grief and forgiveness.
