After the mysterious death of her boyfriend, Jim, during her senior year in high school, nineteen-year-old Beatrice Hartley returns to her hometown for an impromptu reunion, determined to find out what her four former high school friends know about Jim's death. After a near-fatal drunk-driving accident, she and the others become stuck in the Neverworld--a place between life and death---where they are forced to relive the same day over and over until they can unanimously decide on which one person can live.
