In an alternate nineteenth-century, Elsa uses an editbook to write worlds into existence. When her former friend, Leo, apparently steals the editbook for his extremist politician father, Elsa knows it has the power to edit the real world as well, and in the wrong hands, the book has the potential to destroy everything. So, Elsa convinces Leo's father that she wants to join his revolution that will bring together the four states of Italy by any means necessary and put him in ultimate power. As friendships and allegiances shift, finding those Elsa can trust becomes harder, especially when Leo may not be as involved as she once thought.
