In thirteenth-century France, the king is ready for battle. His war is against three children--a peasant girl named Jeanne who has visions of the future, a young monk named William with superhuman strength, and a Jewish boy named Jacob who possesses the ability to heal any wound--and their greyhound dog. Their unique abilities will lead through countless battles with such advocacies as demons and dragons.
