Maddy, a twelve-year-old orphan who lives with her grandparents in Ireland, doesn't believe in the fairy world like her grandfather does. However, when a child next door is kidnapped in the night by an eerie boy, Maddy and her cousins Roisin and Danny set out to rescue the child; and soon find themselves in a fairy-like world full of danger.
