Takaki Tohno and Akari Shinohara become quick friends when Akari transfers to Takaki's school, but when Akari moves to Tochigi due to her parents' jobs, the two begin to drift apart. As the years pass, each hold on to memories of their childhood and struggle to move forward while staying true to their feelings for each other.
