After an unruly episode of peculiar severity, the always well-meaning yet still wayward Bastable children are sent to the countryside for correction. There, vowing to amend their ways, the Bastables establish "The Society of the Wouldbegoods." Their rules are to be as good as possible, but the children are about to find that no matter how hard they try, it sometimes, in some situations, is just impossible to be good.
