Lee Fiora leaves her Indiana family at age fourteen to go to the prestigious Ault School in Massachusetts. She soon learns the boarding school isn't as perfect as its glossy brochure portrays. Surrounded by spoiled and attractive teenagers, she is an outsider and loner who works through her four years of school and all its adolescent woes to develop a good reputation. But Lee's identity is shattered when she does something self-destructive and very public.
