Winnie's plans for one last great summer before heading off to college were all coming together--she has her job in her granny's diner, getting great tips, and her loving family and "ungirlfriend" are by her side in support of everything--and then she is nominated to be her town's Summer Queen. Now she must be crowned and take center stage in all sorts of "community royal engagements," and Winnie finds she is afraid, terribly afraid, of everything. For her to salvage her summer, Winnie will have to dig deep and find her courage.
