Raina Petree is having an awesome senior year until her boyfriend dumps her, the drama club dumps her, her dream college slips away, and her arch-nemesis gets control of the drama club. Millie Goodwin is also having a terrible year: her father treats her like a servant, and the all-boy mock trial team votes her out even though she's spent the past three years making them successful. When Raina finds a new purpose at a politically active local yarn store, it leads to an unlikely meeting between Raina and Millie. The two start a rival, all-girl mock trial team and take on the patriarchy.
