Nikki Tesla, a brilliant inventor, is bored with school and engages in outside pursuits, including the invention of a death ray. But then her ferret, Pickles, accidentally blasts a hole in the floor, which is the last straw for Nikki's mother who sends her, Pickles, and her death ray to the Genius Academy. But when her death ray is stolen, she reluctantly relies on the other genius students, all named for some of the world's greatest minds, to help save the world.
